Black Pellets

CAE GREEN ENERGY PELLETS

THE GREAT FUTURE AS

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE

THE CHALLENGE

The world must move quickly to reduce carbon emissions. Coal is the largest single source of carbon emissions from energy and the largest single source of electricity generation globally. Phasing out coal is key to reducing emissions, and clean energy alternatives are critical to securing energy supplies.

OUR SOLUTION

CAE Green Energy Pellets (Black Pellets) are a type of biomass fuel produced using the steam explosion method. Wood chips or other forms of biomass are heated with steam and then rapidly cooled. This process causes the wood fibers to break down and bond together, creating CAE Green Energy Pellets, which are denser and more energy-rich than white pellets.

There are several reasons why CAE Green Energy pellets are superior to white pellets. Firstly, they have a higher energy density, which means they contain more energy per unit weight. This makes them more efficient to transport and store, as they take up less space and are easier to handle.

Secondly, CAE Green Energy pellets are more resistant to direct water exposure and humid weather conditions, making them easier to transport. A big advantage is that they can be stored outdoors.

Thirdly, they are more break-resistant and produce less dust than white pellets, meaning less dust and fine particles are produced during handling and transport.

Finally, CAE Green Energy pellets have a higher carbon content than white pellets, which means they produce more energy when burned. This makes them a more efficient and cost-effective fuel source for power generation and other applications.

WHEN IT COMES TO THE POTENTIAL FOR THE FUTURE,

CAE GREEN ENERGY PELLETS MULTIPLE BENEFITS:

YOU CAN...

...can be produced from a variety of biomass feedstocks, including wood chips, agricultural residues and even forestry waste.

This makes them a sustainable and renewable fuel source as they can be made from materials that would otherwise end up in waste.

THE FIRST TWO SYSTEMS...

...CAE mainly uses fire-damaged tree trunks from the devastating forest fires in northern Alberta. Another factory is filled with trees in British Columbia that have been attacked by pine bark beetles. In this way, wood waste, so-called "dead wood", is put to good use and paves the way for reforestation by our foundation.

THE TECHNOLOGY...

...the steam explosion process used to produce CAE Green Energy Pellets can be used on a larger scale as demand increases. This means that CAE Green Energy Pellets have the potential to become an important source of renewable energy in the future.

OVERALL, CAE GREEN ENERGY PELLETS ARE...

...a superior form of biomass fuel that has a number of advantages over white pellets. They have a higher energy density, are water-repellent, more resistant to breakage and dust, and have a higher carbon content, making them a more efficient and cost-effective fuel source. Because they can be produced from a variety of feedstocks using scalable production methods, CAE Green Energy pellets have a bright future as a renewable energy source.
